Adira Period Panty – Brief
£9.50 – £12.00
The Adira panty is an exceptional option to help deal with heavy periods and light incontinence. It has given so many customers peace of mind and just that little extra backup that makes all the difference. The Brief is recommended for lighter days. It is a higher cut shaped panty and has a built in protective layer from the back right through to the front . This panty may be more suitable for tampon and menstrual cup wearers and those who don’t wish to wear a pad. It is also useful for light discharge of any kind. Please note that they do not have any actual absorbent layers built in.
The Short is US patented and provides a small cloth platform onto which to secure your pad whether disposable or reusable. This means that the pad is totally contained within the panty which has a waterproof membrane right across the pad. Additionally the panties are made of cotton and therefore so much more breathable than the synthetic ones on the market.
Of the other Adira panties in the range, the Leakproof Panty is like the Brief but just has the protective layer across the gusset
The Incontinence Panty has an absorbent cotton layer and the protective layer from back to the front of the panty.
The Adira Period Panty is a US patented panty from India that is just like normal panties except it offers extra protection during your period .Made of 100% cotton they have a built in protective polymer layer to stop stains coming through. They are highly breathable and made of a good quality weight of cotton. The colours are black brown, blue or red.
There are 2 styles – the Short and the Briefs.
The Short is recommended for heavier days. This style of Panty is very innovative and different. They not only have a built in protective layer which extends almost to the waist at back and front.. Additionally they also have a special sewn in cotton looped structure which allows you to fasten your pad around it and not the actual panty itself. This means that your pad will be held much more securely in place and also (dependent on size of pad) it means that the pad is entirely inside the panty so that any leaks over the side are much more successfully contained.
For each panty it is best to use the UK or European size as a guide as we are finding the waist stated to be too small.
The manufacturer has confirmed that the pants can be washed at 30 in a machine wash.
Suggested uses for these panties are:
Moderate to Heavy Incontinence
After Birth – Lochia
Ovulation and any other times of significant vaginal discharge
For young girls starting out
